National Conference

Law Student Convention

The National Law Student Convention provides law students and pre-law students from around the country the opportunity to meet others seeking to discern their callings and become faithful Christ followers in the profession. Join us for times of informal fellowship, directed discussion, intensive instruction, and praise in song during the weekend!

SCHEDULE

 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1 

10 PM  LAW STUDENT MINISTRIES AFTER HOURS

Fellowship and snacks are featured late into the evening—this is a time to meet new friends, hang out with your colleagues, and be energized for the weekend.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2

12 PM CHRISTIAN LEGAL SCHOLARS’ SYMPOSIUM AND LUNCHEON

10:30 PM  LAW STUDENT PRAISE & WORSHIP

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3

10:15 AM – 12:15 LAW STUDENT MAIN SESSION - SPECIAL GUEST, ROD DREHER

Rod Dreher is a senior editor at The American Conservative. He has written and edited for the New York Post, The Dallas Morning News, National Review, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Washington Times, and the Baton Rouge Advocate. He lives in St. Francisville, Louisiana, with his wife Julie and their three children. He has written three books, The Little Way of Ruthie Leming, Crunchy Cons, and How Dante Can Save Your Life, published this year. He is working on a book on “The Benedict Option.”

 

 

12:30  LAW STUDENT MENTORING LUNCH

An annual favorite for law students: Practicing lawyers, profs, and judges will join each table of law students to share, ask questions, and give advice by practice or geographic area 

WORKSHOPS

Students are free to engage the workshop topics offered throughout the conference. This year, we have designed the Career Options panel and Scholars’ Symposium workshops specifically with students in mind. We’ll have more recommendations on site, but browse the brochure to get a flavor for the great offerings on women in the law, immigration issues, international justice, and religious liberty topics that may be of interest.
