For nearly five decades, the Attorney Ministries of the Christian Legal Society have inspired and trained legal professionals to faithfully proclaim and live out the Word of God in their personal and professional lives. The benefits of CLS membership through our Attorney Ministries include:

Attorney Chapters

CLS helps Christian attorneys throughout the country form chapters of friends and colleagues who are committed to expressing their faith in every aspect of their lives. Attorney chapters hold prayer meetings, sponsor bible studies, and offer chapter members a fellowship for serving their communities and their professions in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Student Mentors

As student mentors, CLS members have the opportunity to help law students strengthen their commitment to Christ, resolve personal issues and questions of faith, and generally feel a sense of belonging within a larger community of Christian lawyers.

Legal Aid Clinics

Through CLS legal aid clinics, attorneys can volunteer their time to help the homeless, disadvantaged, and marginalized members of society. To prepare attorneys for legal aid work, we teach them how to apply both legal advice and spiritual counseling to resolve issues from a Christian perspective.

Christian Legal Resources

To support Christian attorneys in their professional and spiritual development, we offer podcasts on the intersection of faith and law, bi-monthly devotionals, legal updates, a job bank, our quarterly magazine The Christian Lawyer, and a searchable online bibliography of hundreds of books and articles of interest to Christian lawyers and law students.

Conferences

Each year, CLS hosts a national conference for Christian legal professionals and their families. Conferences provide both spiritual formation and professional development through the speakers and the CLE’s that are offered. It is also the largest gathering of Christian legal professionals and law students every year. Click here for details on this year's National Conference.
