in conjunction with the CLS National Conference

San Antonio, Texas
Crowne Plaza Hotel Riverwalk
www.sanantonio.com/crowne-plaza-riverwalk/

Breakfast: 7 - 8 am

Conference (incl. lunch): 8 am - 5 pm

Lawyers and law students are invited to sign up for this Christian Legal Aid (CLA) training course on Thursday, November 2, 2006 to learn how to lead and/or start or participate in a CLA program. Christian legal aid is grounded in the love of Christ and in biblical as well as legal principles.  The Hon. James O. Browning, U.S. District Judge (left), the only known sitting federal judge who previously served as a CLA volunteer, has graciously accepted our invitation to join us as our keynote speaker at our luncheon.

Past offerings of this extraordinary course have rewarded and often changed the lives of many lawyers and law students who are now serving God according to His commands to “defend the rights of the poor and the needy ”. Prov. 31:9 NIV. This hands-on fast-paced new opportunity for service is being conducted at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Hotel on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. The one day seven hour clinical, how-to-do-it course provides the only national  easy-to-use guides, suggestions and aids on how to combine spiritual and legal help with the common issues and problems of indigents. Come and enjoy an inspiring learning experience, a chance to meet and hear from these distinguished speakers, a time of fellowship with like-minded Christian lawyers and law students and an enjoyable recreation time with them immediately following the training session.

Early advance registration is strongly recommended. A limited number of scholarships of up to one-half of expenses may be available with a maximum of $500 upon application no later than September 29, 2006.

Past summits have had a profound impact on the lives of many lawyers and law students who are now serving God according to His commands to "defend the rights of the poor and the needy." Prov. 31:9 NIV.
