The Common Law and the Religious Roots of the Rule of Law

Florida Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Bell, Senior Judge of the U.S. Court of Claims Eric Bruggink, U.S. District Court Judge Karon Bowdre and Ohio Judge Carla Moore will co-host the 2nd annual gathering of jurists to reflect upon the common law and the religious roots of the rule of law and to facilitate a convivial exchange of their experiences on the bench for the benefit of all.

The jurists reception will be Friday at 5 pm. The Saturday morning session will consist of a thought-provoking presentation on the Rule of Law by Professor of Law Craig Stern, followed by an interactive dialogue. The luncheon will feature an address by Uganda Justice Julia Sebutinde, and the afternoon session will feature a judicial panel discussion on more daily concerns facing the judiciary today. The gathering is included in the conference registration fee for conference attendees. Jurists from around the world are invited and expected to attend. For jurists and their spouses who simply wish to attend the judicial gathering, a registration of $75 and $50 respectively will be charged to cover the cost of the gathering.
