Prayers & Praises
"As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you." - 1 Samuel 12:23

Please join with us in lifting up in prayer Brenda Schildberg and her three children Michael and Stephen (5) and Julia (3) as they mourn the loss of their husband and father, Scott Schildberg, who died of a heart attack on March 6, 2006, at the age of 46.  Scott was the CLS chapter President and a longtime leader in Jacksonville, Florida. We can all take comfort in knowing that Scott is now with our Lord and Saviour. Praise the Lord for three new programs. Christian Legal Aid of Boulder, which is now serving clients at the Salvation Army station, is currently being headed up by Kari Hadley, a 3L at CU Boulder.  Philadelphia Christian Legal Aid Program of North Philly, led by Pete Hileman, is regulary serving clients at the Ayuda Community Center. PCLAP-North is a distinct program from the PCLAP program in West Philly, led by Dennis Abrams. Dennis reports that PCLAP hopes to expand its services to all six Salvation Army stations in the Delaware Valley. The Union Gospel Mission of Spokand Legal Aid Clinic, officially got off the ground in February 2006 and the volunteers are being coordinated by Greg Barclay at the Mission.  Praise the Lord for these new programs.

Please join with us in lifting up in prayer Linda Price, the Executive Assistant for Administer Justice as she mournes the loss of her husband Steven E. Price.  Bruce Srom, AJ's Executive Director, reports that "Steve was 54 years old and his death came as a shock to us all.  Steve is survived by his wife and two adult sons, Bryan and David Price." To read Bruce's comments on trying to find peace in the midst of pain visit www.AJTruePeace.blogspot.com. Praise the Lord for His generous provision.  We have matched a $50,000 "new money" matching grant from the Alliance Defense Fund.   In addition, as of March 7, 2006, we are only a little less than $8,000 away from matching a $75,000 "new money matching grant from the Stewardship Foundation .  Please pray that the Lord will help us to raise the funds that will match this grant. In addition, if you have never given to CLS or have not given in the past two years, we would ask that you prayerfully consider whether you can help us in this endeavor. We covet your prayers in the area of the Lord's provision for Legal Aid Ministries and how we can better serve all those ministries with whom we have developed relationships around the country.  Praise the Lord for His continued faithfulness to CLS and that He continues to raise up new leaders in new cities.
