PRAISES
  • Praise God for bringing together the Center's effective and gracious support team - Communications and Logistics Manager Colleen Holmes, Paralegal Gretchen Nutz and Paralegal Associate Katelin Beer. CLS is blessed to have such a highly skilled and Christ-like staff

PETITIONS

  • Last week, the Center filed its brief for Colorado Christian University in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in CCU v. Baker, a case that will decide whether Colorado may exclude CCU students from receiving state-funded tuition assistance because it calls CCU "pervasively sectarian." Please pray that the brief and Center Director Greg Baylor's oral argument to the court sometime in the next few months will be favorably received by the judges, and that the court of appeals will end this religious discrimination against CCU students.
  • Please pray for CLRF Litigation Counsel Tim Tracey as he represents a Christian fraternity, Beta Upsilon Chi, against the University of Florida. The university has denied recognition to the fraternity, claiming that it "discriminates" on the basis of religion in violation of university policy by selecting members who express a genuine faith commitment to Christ.

Thank you for your intercession.
