Prayer & Praise Newsletter
PRAISES
- We are praising God for two excellent Blackstone interns, Kristina Butler, a rising second-year student at the University of Michigan School of Law and Lisa Graff, also a rising second-year student at the University of Virginia School of Law. Kristina and Lisa are contributing excellent work to the Center's efforts, and we pray that the internship will be a rich experience for both of them.
- Also, the Center has been actively involved in the fight to protect medical professionals' rights of conscience. We are praising God that the Department of Health and Human Services seems to be taking a step in the right direction by proposing regulations that will appropriately protect medical professionals' conscience rights. Please click here to read more about these regulations and visit the Center blog for more information about this issue.
PETITIONS
- We ask for your prayer that an Iowa district court will grant our request for a preliminary injunction in AFBO v. Anderson, an action challenging the exclusion of religious charities from the state's employee charitable campaign. Click here for more infomation about this case.
- Please pray for Center attorneys Casey Mattox, Isaac Fong and paralegal Gretchen Nutz as they sift through voluminous discovery while preparing the opening brief in CLS v. Eck, our ongoing case challenging the University of Montana's decision to derecognize its CLS chapter. Click here for more information about this case.
Thank you for your intercession. Gregory S. Baylor
